Indoor Meeting - Tuesday 7 February 2012 - Stephen Westerberg · 4 February 2012
Our next Indoor Meeting is to be held on Tuesday 7 February 2012 at 7pm. This is to take place at the Durham Wildlife Trust Headquarters at Rainton Meadows, Houghton le Spring. Our Guest speaker will be Stephen Westerberg from the RSPB, talking on the subject of "Geltsdale".

Announcements - 2010 Annual Report | Subscriptions reminder · 4 February 2012
Due to the club's involvement with the Birds of Durham Heritage Project, the 2010 annual report is running slightly late. The report is now complete and all members should receive their copy in the coming weeks. Also a reminder to members that subscriptions were due on 1st January. 2012 promises to be an exciting and busy year for the Durham Bird Club so a big "thank you" for your continued support.

Meet at the hide to collect tools; bring packed lunch and hardwearing clothing. The Work will include the transfer and plant up of rushes around the scrapes to provide improved breeding habitat for waders with further scrape re-profiling.
Funeral arrangements for Brian Unwin, 21.05.1944 - 29.12.2011 · 4 January 2012
Following a long fight against cancer, Brian sadly passed away at home on the evening of 29th December.

RSPB Durham Field Trip - 2nd January · 20 December 2011
RSPB Durham Group will have a field trip on 2 January. Meet at Stockton Road entrance to the University Science Site at 09:00. Destination will be determined nearer the date. Further details are on the Durham Group's website.

Indoor Meeting Reminder - 12th December 2011, 7.30pm - Quiz and Social · 10 December 2011
The December Durham Bird Club meeting will be held on Monday the 12th of December, starting at 7.30pm. As this is the last of the year we have booked a room at the Tap and Spile on Front Street in Framwellgate Moor. This will be a chance to relax and enjoy a drink (alcoholic or otherwise) and to chat with other club members. There will be a free buffet! I'm sure at some stage there will be a light-hearted quiz with some prizes you would be too embarrassed to win.
