Cricket cancelled · 15 July 2008

The previously advertised cricket match, intended to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the NTBC, has had to be cancelled, due to a lack of volunteers willing to represent the DBC. 

Deadline for submission of June records imminent · 9 July 2008

Club members and all potential contributors are reminded that the deadline for submission of June records is now five days away, on 14th July.  Details of how to submit records, including submission by e-mail, can be found on the Submission of records page. 

Cure for login problem · 7 July 2008

Apologies to those members who are currently experiencing a problem with Internet Explorer, whereby they are having to repeatedly re-enter the members' password.  The following actions are known to cure the problem:

Password changed · 5 July 2008

The password required to access the members-only areas of the website has changed.  As with previous passwords, if you are a member you will be able to follow the instructions on the login screen to find the password in your latest Lek.  Starting today it is hoped to change the password on the first weekend of each month, so keep your Lek handy! 

Cricketers needed! · 2 July 2008

As mentioned previously, the Northumberland and Tyneside Bird Club has challenged us to a cricket match.  The date and venue are now confirmed as Thursday, 31st July at Prior's Park, Tynemouth.  The ground has been booked for 6 p.m.  Now we just need two teams!  This will be a friendly match and no real previous experience is needed.  If you are at all interested please contact me at mvnewsome@hotmail.com.

Field trip to see Barn Owls · 29 June 2008

After our initial two-year programme of Barn Owl box development and installation, I promised that we would invite club members to visit a breeding site.  After this year's survey we have a pair utilising a box in the Wear valley, and thus I would like to ask the membership if they would like to attend a field trip to see these birds.
