After the summer break the series of BDHP guided walks continues with a short ramble along the riverside area of Bill Quay. Why don't you join BDHP manager Keith Bowey as he leads us on the latest in the scheduled "walks and talks" around County Durham to celebrate the Natural Heritage of our wonderful County. Hear the intriguing story of how Britains first ever Pine Grosbeak was discovered here almost two centuries ago. Open to everyone with non- members welcome. Some members may be interested in joining DBC Conservation officer John Olley as he leads the latest in the scheduled "walks and talks" around County Durham to celebrate the Natural Heritage of our wonderful County. A 2km ramble around the flower rich nature reserve and farmland habitat that is the last remaining stronghold in the county for Corn Bunting and is becoming one of the most reliable places to see Hobby.
