These pages are not intended to be a 'where to watch birds' in Durham. There are several books which have excellent guides to the many birding sites around the county, such as 'Where to watch birds in Northeast England' (Britton and Day), and 'Where to watch birds in Durham' (DBC publication). Instead, these 'mini guides' are intended to be of help to birders in finding special birds currently showing well in the county.
