Phone-scoping at dusk

A couple of examples of Barn Owl images from this evening

old iPhone hand held to old Nikon Fieldscope

Barn Owl at dusk

original image, with crop below

The power of digi-scoping clearly visible, the bird at ease & blissfully unaware of my presence.

This one was earlier in the evening, but longer range :-

and a cropped edit as he stretches a wing in preparation for the evening ahead :-

These images wont win any prizes, but im secure in the knowledge I have been able to observe & record them without any impact.

Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone could give me some help and advice on a camera for my grandson . We live in Jarrow and do most of our bird watching around the burn at boldon. Even though he's only 6 he loves anything to do with wildlife but especially birds, any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
